ABOUT BESTFEX

Grit & Grace

BestFex was born from real-life experience. When I started as a field agent in 2011, final expense required traveling around Ohio, sitting at kitchen tables and filling out paper applications together. Those kitchen table conversations became great memories, with more than a few folks insisting I stay for lunch!

In 2013, life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with cancer. The following years were challenging and by 2015, I made a tough decision to leave the insurance industry. Uncertain about my physical limitations, I accepted a finance manager position in the car business. Through one customer at a time, word spread across Northeast Ohio where I became known as a trusted source for auto financing. Many years later, I'm grateful to be back where I belong, serving families remotely — and healthier than ever. 

Off the clock, I'm usually outdoors around Sandusky, Ohio - running, kayaking, Cedar Point, or enjoying good times with my (now grown-up) kids and granddaughters.

Have you ever lost a loved one who had final expense?

“Tom” was a part of my life since I was a toddler, as my Stepdad. An old school blue-collar guy, Tom loved his family, Cedar Point, and muscle cars. When he passed away in 2018, he had a small final expense policy in place from years earlier, that I helped him with — my sister being his beneficiary. How does the application process work?

Each company I’m partnered with has their own secure online portal that only appointed agents and brokers can access. During our call, you can expect the application itself to be straightforward and brief. Once submitted, most approval decisions are returned within 24 hours.

How does billing work?

Monthly premiums are safely made via bank draft, directly with the insurance company and never through BestFex. This method helps avoid missed payments and keeps your coverage secure.
